RISING STAR – KARRUECHE TRAN
Karrueche is currently one woman I’m enjoying at the moment. Her focus, drive and grind are truly inspiring. She is really surprising me with her power moves and commitment to building her brand up. I say surprising, because I think I underestimated her strength as a woman, to be able to bounce back in this manner, after such a high profile break up. I’m ashamed to admit this, but I expected her to jump into another high profile relationship, but instead, she unleashed this dynamite.
Kae started out her fashion career in retail, before becoming a personal shopper and “celebrity stylist” in Hollywood. She then began dating her now famous ex, and was embroiled in a love triangle that would have left many of us with a bruised self esteem. She eventually managed to gather enough strength to leave her tumultuous relationship, resulting in her starting to maximise on her popularity and the media attention that came with it. 2014 saw Karrueche pursuing a career in acting, appearing in shows such as “The Dead Diaries”, “The Fright Night Files”, and the Emmy Award Winning “The Bay”. She also gained recognition for her portrayal of Vanessa Ivy in the fashion web series “Vanity”, which is sponsored by Maybelline.
Tran is surely making a name for herself in Hollywood, from being named the face of Lady Crooks in 2013, to gracing covers for publications such as Rolling Out, Flaunt and Annex Magazines. She is also becoming a notable Social Media Star, following in the footsteps of the likes of Kylie Jenner and peers, by exploiting those numbers to build a profitable brand. This year also saw the rising star collaborate with ColourPop, the brand famous for giving Kylie Jenner the platform to create her Kylie Cosmetics empire. Through the ColourPop collaboration, Karrueche launched her first beauty line, KaePop, promising to give us her Insta-famous glow. Man, I’d give up weaves to have her glow! Her beauty is simply enchanting *insert crying emoji*
If you follow her on social media, you would have seen that she has been going to auditions, which could mean a BIG job in the near future for the petite starlet. She is also currently signed to Wilhelmina Models LA, which promises to yield some exciting campaigns for Karrueche. I have no doubt that she has a future in Hollywood, as bright as her smile. Her attitude and positive outlook will surely propel her to success. In my eyes, she is the face of “Post-Fuccboi Glo Up” and “Girls Doing It For Themselves”. Go Karrueche!
